After this two-week break from the Premier Padel circuit, the competition will return next week with the P2 tournament in Finland. The Finnish event will be the first showcase of the "great revolution" we have witnessed in recent weeks.
Except for the top two pairs in the world rankings (Coello/Tapia and Galan/Chingotto), many changes will be seen further down the list:
Martin Di Nenno / Juan Lebron - #3
This partnership between Di Nenno and Lebron will require the Andalusian to play on the left side of the court, which is being anticipated with great curiosity as it marks a return to his roots.
Mike Yanguas / Franco Stupaczuk - #4
After experiencing the best phase of his career alongside his childhood friend Martin Di Nenno, Franco Stupaczuk is now trying to find in Yanguas a partner that will allow him to start winning tournaments again, something that hasn't happened yet in 2024.
Paquito Navarro / Pablo Cardona - #5
After a short period alongside Lebron, Paquito Navarro will now take on the role of mentor to one of the most promising young Spanish players. Pablo Cardona, a left-handed player known for his powerful shots, will benefit from all of Paquito's experience, with Paquito taking on more of a playmaker role rather than a finisher.
Javi Garrido / Alex Ruiz - #7
Alex Ruiz left Momo Gonzalez to find a more offensive player, allowing him to take a secondary role in crucial moments. He found in Javi Garrido, also one of the prodigies of Spanish padel, the solution that seems to best fit his career at the moment.
Momo González / Edu Alonso - #10
The debut of this pair was perfect, with a victory at the FIP Platinum Sardegna last weekend. Both players were left without many options when their former partners, Alex Ruiz and Alex Arroyo, respectively, sought new projects. For now, the signs left in Cagliari have been very positive.
García Diestro / Javi Ruiz - #15 After being one of the key figures in Pablo Cardona's growth, Javi Ruiz found in José Antonio Garcia Diestro the experience needed to face the second half of the year.
