Las Vegas Smash Wins Final Stage of Pro Padel League

Las Vegas Smash was crowned the winner in the final stage of the 2024 Pro Padel League (PPL) regular season. In San Diego, Las Vegas Smash defeated the New York Atlantics 2-0 in the final. Each match in the league includes a women's game, a men's game, and a mixed doubles match.

After the first two stages held in April, San Diego hosted the third stage. The first match of the final saw the women's pairs Marta Ortega/Alejandra Alonso of Las Vegas Smash facing Andrea Ustero/Virginia Riera of New York Atlantics, with Ortega and Alonso winning 6-2, 6-4.

Next up was the men's doubles match, where Gonzalo Alfonso and Pablo Cardona of Las Vegas Smash overcame the challenge posed by Federico Chingotto and Luis Campagnolo of New York Atlantics.

The first set was closely contested, with Alfonso/Cardona clinching it 7-5. Chingotto and Campagnolo fought back to win the second set 6-3, pushing the match into a decisive third set. Las Vegas Smash secured the tiebreak 10-3, claiming the San Diego title.

The first two events, held in consecutive weeks in Miami, saw Miami Padel Club and Los Angeles Beat emerge as winners. With Las Vegas Smash's victory in the third stage, the 2024 PPL regular season has three different winners across three tournaments.

The competition will resume from November 18 to 23 in New York with the Pro Padel League Cup final, featuring the top eight teams in the PPL standings.
