From Perry’s Comeback to Clarinha’s Surprise Win: The Highlights of the AMCO | Medium Open 10 000

From July 9 to 13, A-Z Padel Famalicão hosted one of the most vibrant events on the Portuguese Padel Federation’s national circuit: the Open 10 000 AMCO | Medium.

Over five exciting days, the tournament brought together hundreds of athletes, a passionate crowd, and countless memorable moments, both on and off the court.

High-Level Competition from Start to Finish

The week started with qualifying rounds and progressed into intense main draw action, ending with two finals that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

In addition to the matches, spectators enjoyed brand activations, a prize wheel, and a lively atmosphere that turned the club into a true stage for national padel.

Pedro Perry Returns to Win

In the men’s draw, all eyes were on Pedro Perry, who returned to competition after an injury break. Alongside Afonso Fazendeiro, he delivered a flawless performance that led them to the title.

In the final, they defeated Miguel Oliveira and Vasco Pascoal with a solid 7-6, 6-4, confirming their strength as a team and marking Perry’s return in style.

Clarinha and Patrícia Steal the Show

The women’s draw brought the biggest surprise of the week. Clarinha Santos and Patrícia Ribeiro made an outstanding run to the title, defeating Maria Garin and Alexandra Silva in the final, 6-3, 6-4.

On their way to the trophy, they caused a major upset by knocking out Ana Catarina Nogueira and Catarina Villela in the semifinals, one of the most experienced duos on the national circuit, after a thrilling three-set battle.
